Astronomy
I’ve always been a bit of a sucker for a new hobby, what with golf, metal detecting, genealogy, photography, amateur radio, painting, woodwork etc. but I’ve always promised myself that I would keep the BIG one for my retirement.
The BIG one in this case is astronomy. I’ve always been interested but decided that would take a lot of work (and a very dark place!) to get the best from it. Well now we are down on the Island, we have the dark place and I’ve started looking around at telescopes. All very vague at the moment but during my travels around the net I came across this. It’s an amazing looking piece of kit and until quite recently, it was impossible to think that such a thing could ever exist. OK, so I haven’t actually seen one in the flesh but I have no reason not to believe what the manufacturer says about it.
Obviously this device is not intended to replace a real telescope and I have no intention of buying one – well not just yet anyhow
It’s just that whichever hobby I choose to look at, somebody comes along and throws a spanner in the decision making works!
Anyone with any “telescopic” advice is very welcome to leave advice………
Which telescope? Why that one? Where to go for advice? How much is all this going to cost?
