zotero

I’ve just added a new (to me anyway) extension to my Firefox browser. It’s called zotero, and while it’s going to take me some time to get the most from it, it’s beginning to look very useful.

When not in use it just sits down in the bottom status bar, the fun starts when it’s opened – it then provides a method to “clip” and save items or whole pages from the main browser window. But that’s not all!! When that info has been saved, it can be sorted, titled, grouped etc and recalled at any time…. Worth a look if you visit a lot of pages and collect snippets for research.

I’m hoping some clever person might make its features fully compatible with the major genealogy pages like ancestry.co.uk or FreeBMD.

Of course it’s free to use
