It appears to be fixed…
After days of blog problems, it seems that everything is now back to normal. No admission of any guilt from Fasthosts, but as I have changed nothing, I can only assume they have modified a little something somewhere and have chosen not to admit it.
Whatever; I’m pleased to have things back to normal!
It’s a strange feeling when you know something is wrong but just can’t identify exactly what is causing it. I know from the symptoms, that is wasn’t anything within the pages themselves and was definitely to do with external content – in my case something over in the right hand column – that said, I can sympathise with the guys in tech. support as they can only go with what they are being told. I just wish that, sometimes, they’d admit that there was a problem and they don’t really know what it is.
To suggest that because they don’t know what it is, that it MUST be my fault, doesn’t help anyone. They then have a real problem in that if they do manage a fix, they can’t really announce it as there wasn’t anything “wrong” in the first place.
