Filling up the passport…

In a previous life I used up a passport every couple of years. I remember one particular year in the early 80s, when anyone travelling overseas could claim back their income tax for each day they spent away from the UK, I managed to claim back for 266 days! Since those days, I have only [...]

Looks OK to me…..

After spending a couple of weeks in India this video looks normal. For those who have never been there, this will give you some idea of a normal day on the streets for a car driver….

The flat is up for sale

Check out the details of our flat for sale in Cowes. It looks so good in the pictures I might even bid for it myself! Got to extract the digit now and get down to some serious house hunting otherwise we’ll end up homeless!

WightCable Woes

Spoke too soon…..

So much for my boast that neither of us had been struck down with anything nasty. Unfortunately I have been pretty bad for the last two days, nothing to really worry about, just a bit inconvenient. Anyhow that’s all clearing nicely now though thanks to the good Doctor Alfred and his magic pills. On the [...]

More from your overseas correspondent.

Back in Chennai early this morning after our trip to Casa Deep Woods in Massinagudi. We left for Mysore on Monday last and after a 12 hr overnight train journey we reached Mysore. After a little wait, our car finally arrived and we experienced the 2 hr journey up into the National Parks around Massinagudi. [...]

Hunting Tigers…

OK a bit more news. Yesterday morning we visited the old fort area of Chennai, this was the starting point of the city and today houses a lot of the government buildings and law courts etc. There is also a warren of narrow streets which form a series of specialised markets, fruit, paper goods, vegetables, [...]
